Information we handle

When you create or use a Madds account, we handle account details such as your name, email address, authentication information, and profile image when provided by Google Sign-In. We also keep service records such as your credit balance, purchases and their verification details, favorites, and generation status and history.

Photos and AI generation

When you request an image, the photo(s) you choose and the selected style instructions are sent through Madds’s backend to OpenAI’s image API to create the result. Madds’s generation records contain service details such as the selected style, status, credit cost, and time; they are not a public gallery. Avoid submitting photos or other information you do not have permission to use.

OpenAI processes API content under its own terms and data controls. OpenAI says API content is not used to train its models by default and that abuse-monitoring logs may retain content for up to 30 days, subject to exceptions. See OpenAI API data controls.

How we use information

We use information to create and secure accounts, provide sign-in, generate images, maintain credits and purchases, show favorites and generation records, prevent abuse, troubleshoot errors, and operate and improve Madds.

Service providers and sharing

Madds uses service providers to operate the app, including Google Sign-In and Google Play for account and purchase services, Google AdMob for ads, OpenAI for image generation, and hosting, database, email, and image-delivery providers. These providers receive information needed to perform their services and may handle it under their own privacy terms. Google Play processes payments; Madds does not receive your full payment-card details. We do not sell your personal information.

Advertising and website technologies

The Android app uses Google AdMob, which may handle device, ad, and usage information to deliver, measure, and protect advertising according to Google’s settings and policies. The website loads style previews from Cloudinary and fonts from Google Fonts. Those providers may receive technical information such as your IP address when your device requests their content.

Retention and account deletion

We keep account and service information while it is needed to provide Madds. You can request account deletion from the app’s account settings. Madds schedules deletion with a 30-day grace period; after that period, the account and associated app records are removed from our database. Signing back in during the grace period cancels the pending request. Service providers may retain data under their own policies, and some information may need to be retained where required by law or for security and fraud prevention.

Security and your choices

We use safeguards intended to protect account and service information, but no online service can guarantee complete security. You control the photos you choose to submit and can use the app’s account settings to request deletion. You can manage Google account access and ad personalization through your Google account and device settings.

Children and contact

Madds is not designed for children under 13, and we do not knowingly seek to collect their personal information. For privacy questions or requests, use the developer contact details on the Madds Google Play listing.
